DHL recognized for the Best Labor and Management Culture Enterprise

•    Ministry lauds DHL’s participatory and cooperative labour and management culture with the second award since 2005      

Seoul, 31 Aug 2009 – DHL, the world’s leading express company, announced today that it has been selected the Best Labor-Management Culture Enterprise by the Ministry of Labor.

This is the second time that DHL Express Korea has been awarded since 2005. The award is recognition of DHL Express Korea’s efforts to create a corporate environment that allows employees and the management to actively cooperate and work under a unified corporate goal.

The Ministry has given out this award annually since 1996 to companies which have showed good labor and management relationships to cultivate the cooperative atmosphere between labor and management and to enhance corporate competitiveness.                                   .

There were three steps to be recognized as the best company. After recommended by the local Ministry of labor and should pass through examination documents, nominated companies present their best showcases and judges make their evaluation. The criteria includes general management about labor-management, open management & employee engagement, development of human resources, evaluation & compensation, improvement of employee welfare & working environment and corporate social responsibility.

For the past 20 years, DHL Express Korea has successfully managed an exemplary labor and management council that is devoid of labor-management conflict. Furthermore, DHL Express Korea develops employee’s talent, operate stable workforce, maintain compensation and equity of evaluation and serve the local community. These contribution and efforts were recognized with this award.
